Dr. Nicole Calloway Rankins is a board-certified, practicing OB/GYN and mom of two who empowers first time moms to feel supported and prepared for pregnancy and birth.
She holds undergraduate degrees in mathematics and mechanical engineering (summa cum laude) and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society as a medical student. She completed her ob/gyn residency training at Duke University Medical Center where she was chosen as an Administrative Chief Resident and went on to complete a research fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a Master of Public Health degree.
After a stint in academic medicine where she worked on projects related to fibroids, preterm birth, and the vaginal microbiome, Dr. Rankins ultimately decided to focus her work on delivering and improving clinical care, and helping expectant moms have a better experience during pregnancy and birth by empowering them with information.
Over the last 15 years, Dr. Rankins has helped more than 1,000 babies come into this world and has demystified pregnancy and childbirth for thousands more women through her 5-star rated All About Pregnancy & Birth podcast (over 1 million downloads), her online birth plan class, and her signature online program: The Birth Preparation Course.
